It is had to imagine that someone would consider purposely damaging a memorial to a loved one. But unfortunately this does occasionally occur. Although it is impossible to prevent such acts, you can organise insurance to cover the costs or repairing or even replacement.

Headstone insurance can start from as little as £5 to £10 per year and is usually bought for a five year period.
