Leaving flowers at headstones.

When you lose someone in your life it is a very difficult time for anyone. The only healer is time but it might be a comfort for you to visit your loved ones grave to pay your respects.

As a gift, a thoughtful token of how much they meant to you and to dress the headstone could be to leave some flowers or a plant.

You could either place a bunch of cut flowers, maybe their favourite flower. These usually only last days or you can buy a pot and plant some flowers or bulbs which should last for longer leaving the headstone decorated for a while.

You can buy specially designed pots which are attached to the headstones to place your plants in or just simply buy a pot of your own to stand in front or by the side of the headstone.

There are companies that sell silk flowers which should last longer than real flowers and need little attention, although these flowers will need replacing eventually.

The colours and fragrant of the flowers or plants will not only dress the headstone but compliment the grounds surrounding them.
